Rome Ratha Yatra 2025
May 24, 2025 @ 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join the Ratha Yatra in Rome – May 24 at Piazza del Popolo
Ratha Yatra, or “Festival of the Chariots”, is one of the oldest and most joyful spiritual celebrations in India. Originating in the sacred city of Puri, in the Indian state of Odisha, this ancient festival honors the divine journey of Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra, who are carried through the streets on magnificent, colorfully decorated chariots pulled by devotees amidst sacred singing, dancing, and music.
The deeper meaning of Ratha Yatra is divine love coming out to meet all people. The deities leave the temple to be seen by everyone, bestowing blessings and spiritual joy.
In Rome, the ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) community brings this vibrant celebration to life in the heart of the city—sharing a message of peace, devotion, and unity.
🎉 Join us on Friday, May 24 at Piazza del Popolo for the Ratha Yatra Festival!
The procession will feature kirtan music, traditional dancing, vivid decorations, free vegetarian offerings (prasadam), and an uplifting spiritual atmosphere.
A unique opportunity to experience the soul of Vedic culture… in the heart of Rome!
Free admission – everyone is welcome!
